Yeah, instead of starting a few miles from Max Patch, we're actually starting at State 32 by the I-40 crossing north of the Smokies. It'll be 35 miles to Hot Springs from there. Going with my best friend with whom I do almost all my hiking, and Bama football game attending.

This hike is part of a build-up to get us back into decent hiking shape to do about half of the John Muir Trail next year, Covid and lottery permit selection willing.

Two days of moving sand and deck building are over. Time to head for the mountains for some hiking.

Great way to get items off the todo list

Decluttered the house a bit more now that we're done with most of the changes this year. Shop is still a mess.

Got some things done outside, repaired some road due to the last 2 weekends. 2 weekends ago I broke my winch helping a neighbor get out of a ditch, last weekend the guy installing beet juice in the tractor tires go stuck, pulled him out.

Got the yard organized by moving things around for ease of plowing, replaced some shitty worklights on the tractor with some cube led lights. Tractor is setup for plowing, expecting a foot of snow today. We got almost 18" two weekends ago.

I was surprised that ND was able to match up with Clemson in the trenches but I agree with your thoughts on the rematch. When Clemson gets their players back that were out and w/o home field advantage the results will likely be different.

The Domer stadium was not at full capacity but it had to be in the 50% range from what I saw. The end zone looked full for sure.

No I did not watch ANY of the Biden party coverage last night. You got a guy in office that told a mother it is ok for her 8 year old to decide to be a boy or girl. Insanity, immoral and destructive and people did not blink an eye and even praised him.

Anyway to me people are feeling good about Biden because he will be nicer and not hut their feelings. Behind the scenes same old same old. People would rather live an illusion than the reality as long as it makes them feel better.

I agree but there will be policies pushed on people going forward that will make it very difficult as they will ask to go against their core values and beliefs. I guess someone will always feel that way.
