There's another that isn't as well known but we do see his record pointed to from time to time. You've seen mention of the back-to-back-to-back national titles won by Minnesota back in the thirties. That team was coached by Bernie Bierman. He was at State at the same time Wade took Alabama to the Rose Bowl for their first title.

A side note: Bierman was one of the first inter-conference coaching changes seen when he left State to take over Tulane in the Southern Conference and while there also won back-to-back-to-back conference titles. In total, I believe Bierman is credited with five national titles. (cough, cough ... one of them in 1941.)

I would think Sark would be better suited to Baylor as opposed to MSU. Him being offensive minded in a conference predicated on moving the ball. Plus Rhule had got them through the toughest part of the NCAA trouble. Couple that with a bountiful recruiting base and a winnable conference.

Sark would have Baylor winning 10 games (at least) every year.

I've not heard a thing that even suggests he is looking to leave. Does he want to be a head coach again? I'm sure. But the question boils down to where to start another HC career run, right?

Let's face it, mando. If you're looking to win a title as a head coach you are not going to MSU. If you're looking for a job that is a stepping stone to a bigger program, MSU is that job. (Find a Bulldog fan that'll admit that and you'll find the first.)

Sark gave Saban his word on a multi-year tenure in Tuscaloosa. I've heard that UA factions went as far as to back a loan for a home purchase. But, you've hit one thing on the head in my view...pretty damn hard to turn down an offer when you see something like four million a year for four years especially if it's guaranteed. (I don't have a clue as to what MSU's new offer is, that's just hypothetical numbers in this conversation.)

All good choices are going to be "of interest" elsewhere. You cant just go "Oh darn, _____ wants him so we might as well just look somewhere else." With that said, hopefully none of this is necessary and Sark sticks around a few more years.
