Some dude on Outside the Lines just said that through his sources, Pete Carroll makes 4.1 million a year. But I guess since they, like Notre Lame, don't have to publish that info. Though the media would say he's worth it, and we are still dumb for paying Nick Saban that.

so my understanding is they are private and don't have to share the whole thing, so he could already be the best paid coach for nothing...

We need to be careful around here about putting a price on wins. We canned a guy making 900K per year who won 6 games twice in four years and won 10 games once, to be replaced with a guy who won 6 games for $4 Million in his first year. We Bama fans DO live in glass houses!

Yeah, I know it gets bigger from year to year, but it's still annoying to hear 4 million all the time. If ESPN and others took 5 minutes, then they might get their stuff straight.

Yep. During the bowl games, the whole $$ for wins things really got old. It seemed like every color guy in every po-dunk bowl had the same joke when they really didn't even know what they were talking about.
