🏈 Saban admits to Chewing Kiffin's ass

Sometimes you gotta know you messed up, otherwise you continue going about your business the wrong way. Saban is in a position where he can say what he wants. Maybe a public shot is what Kiffin needed, ever think about that? Coach is very calculating and knows what he's doing. He perfect? Of xourse not, but his way of leadership has worked moreso than us armchair quarterbacks.

I was thinking that maybe Joey Freshwater and The Great White Sark had tied one on Friday night on the Strip to celebrate the pay raise !! LMAO

A good ass chewing is necessary sometimes if the intended target is out of line.

Serious question though...

4-5-6-7 years ago when Alabama was winning Championships under Saban, and we were clowning Auburn for their hide and seek/pop warner/bull shit play book... Who woulda thought we'd be running the same offense half the game?

At least we have a running QB now that fits the mold. I just can't stand watching this type of offense being super unorganized with pentalties/substituations/and lack of discipline when you have good enough players to beat someones ass straight up. JMO. RTR

Did you really just compare the offense that Alabama runs to that wannabe triple option shit that Auburn runs? Sorry, not even close.

I'm thinking people are focusing on the sideline outburst being directed at Kiffin when it was intended for Kiff, Blake, and Foster. We know at least two of the three screwed up; possibly all three.

After watching that video clip a few times this morning I'm beginning to think it was almost an involuntary reaction by Foster ... seeing how quickly his right hand pops up and his left doesn't ...

Bottom line: It's Monday ... and it's all about reps.

Reps, Tide, Reps.

Like you said in a post it about those thing!

There is plenty of room for CNS to chew on the Bama offense, especially the woeful offensive line. As a former coach, I know you play the best you have during a game but I look for some movement along the offensive line this week. We have to remember that we lost 3 to graduation that had something you cant beat and that's experience. The major hit was losing Kelly at center. There are so many things that go on with that position long before the ball is snapped. IMO, we will be ok at OL, not outstanding. After watching the game this week against the Black Bears, I will be able to tell more, they have a very good DL and respectable LB's.

Beating that damn horse again, I am ...

Thing is Mike, the same thing—verbatim—was said in '13, '14, and '15. I recall conversations about this in '11 when the Tide was "breaking in" that '12 offensive line.

I still hold a very optimistic view of how this line progresses. But, here we are going back to one word that's been a mainstay here the last month or so: potential.

One of the things I've seen repeated on recaps of that game between Ole Miss and FSU was how FSU was able to tear apart the middle of the field, in front of the LB'ers, in the second half. That's not mentioning the little support they received from their defensive secondary.

Jet sweeps, backwards passes, 2 fake handoffs on the same play... Same brand of finesse p*ssy ball (half the game).

First off, if what you think Auburn runs is "pussy ball" you dont really know a whole lot... being blunt. It's a straight ahead bulldozer type of offense for much of the game (go listen to Auburn fans whine about runs up the middle) to set up the one or two big plays they go for.

Second, Alabama runs read option (which probably 100% of teams with a mobile QB use now) and jet sweeps and screens. How is that something that is mutually exclusive to Auburn?

@TerryP , I see the same thing with the middle of the field being a wide open as a case knife. If Hurts, Barnett or Bateman have any time at all, the middle is a huge, weak spot for Ole Miss. Throws between the LB'ers and Safety(s) will be there all day long.

I also believe we will see improvements in the OL as the season goes on. You do not replace what we lost on the OL without growing pains for a few games.

Who said it was it was mutually exclusive? I'm just pointing out we are running the same shit that 4-5 years ago Auburn was running and we were laughing at... And asking the question, did you see that coming? I didn't.

All that other "you don't know really know a whole lot" is corny. Save it.

And I absolutely think the consistent behind the LOS passes and jet sweeps is p*ssy ball. We can agree to disagree.

So, a quick out to Ridley—facing one of the opponents best corners—leaving a one on one between two football players... is pussy football. Man against man. Pussy?

I see so many complaining about the jet sweep and nary a mention about what happens on that play with the linebackers and defensive secondary. But oh, when one of them are caught out of position and we see a big play? It's all shits and giggles then. Makes no sense to me.

Hell, that's not even mentioning allowing the speed this offense has get to the outside leaving them with a 2nd and manageable.

Color me lost. Just lost.

No... we... are... not... if you do not understand the difference between what we play and a Malzhan offense I dont know what else to say to ya man. Unless you're claiming running the read option is running Auburn's "same shit." Well, then that's just dumb...

So is HB screens "pussy ball"? And since every single running play possible is behind the LOS does that mean a simple ISO or trap is a "pussy play?" How do you not understand how dumb what your saying is? And like Terry said, how a player going one on one with a player going full force is somehow "pussy ball" is beyond me.

We've been over this before, people dont want to look at what the play action can do with the jet sweep with the backers and safeties overpursuing.
