Wow, that hurts!!. VTU is in trouble if the injury is important. Anyway, look at the incoming freshman David Wilson getting some reps on that rotation...

But bad news for them. And that say a lot about the toughness of such an undersized tailback...

Today, another running back joined the list of injured Hokie rushers when linebacker Barquell Rivers intercepted a pass and returned it down the sideline where he was tackled into Ryan Williams’ leg. Williams was not playing that down. The injury appeared to be minor but he did not return and was limping for the remainder of the game.

This is not confirmed, and hasn't been made public yet, but people inside the program believe that Darren Evan's replacement, Josh Oglesby, does indeed have MRSA, and may miss the entire season as well.

That comes from good sources, but they say they aren't 100% sure. It is being kept very low key. You're more than welcomed to share that with your people, just keep my name out of it. This is news that will be public at some point, just isn't yet.

In layman's terms, MRSA is a staph skin infection. It's antibiotic resistant, and a strain of staph infection that is quite common today especially in locker room type environments.

I don't know who the poster that put that message up is—absolutely no clue as to his credibility. So, I have no clue if this story is true or not. I HOPE it isn't and that has nothing to do with our football game with Va. Tech.

That's just a very, very serious medical issue if it is indeed the case.

Geez...here's to this being a false story and just a horrible rumor.

Most of the people I work with are VT grads and many are season ticket holders. I'll ask around at work tomorrow. See if any of them have heard anything. I hope neither medical condition is serious, especially the infection. Football is just not that important when compared to a kids health.

With that said, BAMA must win this. I have talked to much smak in the office about the inferior ACC and the over rated Hokies. I won't be able to stand the pain if BAMA L.... I can't even write it.

If I learn anything, I'll post again.

you will notice that you don't see Oglesby in the VaTech scrimmage stats yesterday - you will also see the comment that they expect Oglesby to be back to full contact tomorrow - this was at the end of scrimmage.

He had a blister and it got infected. I’m concerned about it, yeah, but I don’t know (what kind of infection it is). It’s in his heel. He just got an infection. We’ve all got bacteria in our body. Infections can occur in sterile environments. The doctors have got him on antibiotics. Just going to keep it clean and rest him. When it clears up, it clears up.”

Now you can see why Frank Beamer made the uncharacteristic proclamation last week that he expects this to be his best punt block/return team ever. The four guys in the middle trying to rip through and get hands up for a block average 6-foot-4 and about 220 pounds – and all are extremely fast and athletic.

Considering Vanderbilt, who finished in the middle of the pack in the SEC last year, beat their conference runner-up I'd say you have room to talk a little smack. Of course, there's Clemson...
