If this isn't in the correct spot please move....

Can anyone give me some info on where the closet spot for RV/Motorhome is to the stadium. I also assume getting spots must be done a year in advance for the bigger games? Would love to be able to make plans for next year and maybe squeeze in the LSU game this year but thinning I've waited to late. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Unless something has changed the closest is behind Tutwiler. Those are controlled through Tide Pride so getting there isn't going to be easy.

Over by the mall on McFarland there's a free lot ... always grab a shuttle from the mall that'll drop you off at the stadium.

Go to rolltide.com Look up tickets>Tide Pride. You should be able to find a map there.

The university has kinda fucked people on the RV parking. Used to, you could come in from out of town and get a decent spot in the grass near campus. It was first come first serve, but you had a pretty good chance of getting a spot. The way its set up now, you have to go through the university and make a reservation. Its also more expensive.

To make things worse the city will not allow business to sell parking lot space for RV's. So your local small business owner cant make any money off of the RV'ers, but the university can.

Your best bet is going to be the University Mall parking lot. Its first come first serve and they have a shuttle that you can ride to the university. For a big game like LSU you will need to be at the lot on Thursday or you wont get a spot.

UA Gameday - Home has some info.

As stated most RV spots are spoken for a year out. Closest possibility that I would know of is at a state park. You can link to the state parks at OutdoorAlabama.com Lurleen Wallace State Park is about 15 miles north of campus. Other option would be Tannehill State Park in Bessemer/McCalla. If you are looking for somewhere to tailgate and park an RV, I think you are pretty much SOL. Central High School usually will have a large crowd of LSU tailgaters and RV's, but I'm not sure who would contact about trying to do that.....maybe call the school. It is 6 blocks south of the stadium
