🏈 GAME THREAD 🏉 Alabama at Tennessee: CBS 📺 @ 3:30 ET

18 Consecutive games have been played by Tennessee against Alabama without scoring more than 21 points in regulation. The Volunteers most recently scored more than 21 points in four quarters against the Crimson Tide in their 35-24 victory in 2001. Tennessee defeated Alabama 51-43 in five overtimes in 2003, but the Vols had 20 points at the end of the fourth quarter in that game.

13 Consecutive SEC regular-season games have featured at least 30 points for Alabama, one short of the conference record. The Crimson Tide has not scored fewer than 30 points against a league rival in regular-season play since a 24-0 victory over Mississippi State on Nov. 10, 2018. Florida scored at least 30 points in 14 consecutive SEC regular-season games, starting with a 41-34 victory over Tennessee on Sept. 18, 1993, and extending until a 24-7 victory over Vanderbilt on Nov. 19, 1994.

@mando , you mentioned worrying about some fluky thing happening and I agree that's possible. What I worry about in a game like this is someone getting hurt.
They're desperate and you can bet fulmer has been spreading the hate this week. I don't know what will happen in the game but Kentucky scored 34 points on that defense. If we stay healthy, we won't have a problem with this edition of the viles.

Sounds like we as fans will need to program ourselves for many many many more 4th qtr games to decide the winner. We've been spoiled. The old saying that anybody can beat you on a given Saturday is more inline in todays college football. JMO but the Bama ILBer position is the weakest sector on our defense. They both dress out well.

Josey,
Do you remember Donta Hightower? Do you remember his play in 2010 after the knee injury in 2009? Do you remember his play in championship season of 2011? I would say Moses may be going through the same stuff.
That doesn’t make him a POS....

Hopefully we will handle the Vile energy for the first few minutes w/o making any mistakes (turnovers) then score and take the air out of them. I am sure Pruitt has preached play 60 minutes and do not look at the score board. Fortunately they have some history that kicks them in the gut. When they went on the winning streak they were pushing some of that out but the last two games has thrown it back at them with the way they have lost.

Just do not make a bunch of mistakes and let them stay in the game otherwise they will start thinking they can win.

I really hope the offense is what we believe it to be and they just bury the Viles. I always want a 70-0 beat down of the Viles.
