🏈 Ricky Town leaves USC and transferring to Arkansas

Option A: transfer to another FBS school and redshirt 2015 just like he probably would have done at USC.
Option B: transfer to JUCO where he can play (but probably won't this year because he's coming in so late) and graduate in two years and go to a FBS team that can use his talent.
Option C: transfer to a lower level school (FCS or D2) and hope the current QB gets hurt. Again, he's coming in late and has a lot of catching up to be equal.

Any way you look at it, his timing will most likely prevent him from playing this year.

He fell off pretty hard in the recruiting ranking after Barnett and Rosen shined at camps and such.

No way both would have came here. Oh well, I'd have to feel as we won handsomly with his decision to decommit

For once I can say I hope he doesn't consider us... lol

We have a really good young QB... Possibly 2... That are completely committed and apparently showing good progress here.

I think it worked out best for us. Barnett more athletic than Town, and apparently not so needy. Hopefully. RTR

ARE YOU CRAZY?????!?!?!? I hope he comes. Do you see Ohio State complaining they have too many qbs that can start? Roll Tide! Come on back Ricky...We would love to have you! You can never have too many good QBs. They will push each other to be great!

It appears that Ricky doesn't like the competition. Competing with at least four other talented QBs isn't his vision of college football.

We have 5 on scholarship already, and this kid is leaving USC because he's "not getting enough reps". What the hell you think is going to happen here?

Barnett and Cornwell are some good looking freshman. Adding a third won't help them develop any faster. Sometimes more is less... and that time is when you've already got 5 competing.

we really dont have 5 competing...Saban only had to allow the same share of reps in the first scrimage bc he promised "all will get a fair chance to earn the job". Now that that is all out of the way you will see the snaps given to the 2-3 guys who really have a chance to start. The other will ride the pine or learn a new position.

Apparently realized the path to being a starter there is long and rocky.

Here's something I found a bit funny.

According to my friend he's a distant third in the rotation right now. He was complimented on his footwork, but criticized on his slow release.

They signed two QB's in Town's class and right now the other one, Darnold, has "outplayed him in every aspect." There's another nipping at his heels (Browne) and have another kid they expect to sign (Fink.)

He's looking at being one of five guys competing for the position ... possibly six if Kessler (RS Jr.) sticks around for his senior year.
