🏈 Richt just needs to go

I didn't think UGA losing last night was an embarrassment to the SEC, it was an embarrassment to UGA. UGA was the underdog last night, so the better team won last night. My thing is where is the pride? The players didn't show any pride last night, they got manhandled and they never decided to 'man up' and fight back while they were getting beat up. So, not only the coaches, but the players are ay fault for last night.

IMO I think if UGA doesn't make a good bowl game Richt is gone at the end of the year.

Richt looked confused/dazed to me. He reminds me of Mike Shula.

Agree on both statements. I don't know if it's been said like this or not, but in a state like Georgia, probably a top 5 maybe recruiting state, to consistently be as mediocre as they are, there's not excuse, Richt is terrible... though I hate it cuz it's almost a definite in my mind that Coach Smart's time at Ga. is about to begin...

The problem with him leaving? This would be our last year with Kirby Smart. And we'd be in a dogfight with Smart recruiting Georgia. Seriously, if they don't fire Richt and offer the moon to Kirby, their administration has serious issues.

Richt is done this year and I firmly believe that Kirby goes--I wouldn't blame him.

One thing I saw last nightg as well. GA looked so tired after the first quater. Those boys are out of shape!

Probably from all the celebrating after every defensive play they made. They were carrying on like they had just made a game winning stop after nearly every play during that first quarter. I can understand being pumped up and all, but geez after a while it becomes obnoxious.

I agree, Richt needs to pack up and leave, but it's still going to take more then the Boise beatdown to get him out of there. I talked to a couple of friends that are diehard leghumper fans and they're thinking the season is theirs to lose. I think all this will change if they lose to S.Carolina this weekend. I would imagine that being possibly the breaking point for many already discouraged Dawg fans, then again... :lance:

If they lose to USCeast this week Georgia fans will be screaming for him to go. Don't see him lasting another year. Mullens would be a good fit but I would hate to see Miss St. lose him. I want Miss St. to pound Ole Miss every year.

He must have won a lot more in the early years, because Georgia hasn't won the SEC championship since 2005.

No doubt much of that success was earlier. ...and how many coaches have we fired since he has been at UGA for not being successful (by our standards)...just as he has not been successful (by UGA's standards)?

BTW, those rankings include Saban's years building Mich State, and Spurrier's years at Duke, and Dooley's time at La. Tech. Richt got Georgia.
