🏈 Respect

A few bad calls benefiting UT, but other than that a great game. Y'all fought hard. We will be more ready for you next year.

At least now, the series seems more clean and more fun. I would be proud of my team if I was UT.

Roll Tide.

Honestly, I think if we had ran the ball inside the 5 in the second quarter, the game would have taken a whole different direction.

As it was, we lost confidence, and UT gained confidence...and man do we need an off week. UT forums are claiming that to be a non-factor, but we have played 8 games in a row against some pretty good teams. We are beat up and tired...I think that is why Ingram didn't get the carries today...after last week he was worn out.

OA, your boys played a hell of a game. They about gave me a heart attack! I really didn't think it would be that close or end the way it did. Great game, UT looked really good out their & have my respect.

Lets not play the "IF" game. Both teams played well, and Monty Kiffin will be a force to wrecken with in coming years. I am a Tampa Bay Buccs fan and can tell you right now, Monty is the man. Hell, just look at Tampa since he left. Have not won a game.

TN played hard, we just played harder. Nuff said

The respect I was giving TN. I take it back. Kiffin can kiss my ass just like Fulmer with these kind of statements. Some people need to learn how to take a loss and go on with their life. A**hole :fight:

"This is one we should have won," Kiffin said. "We'll see them again next year, and we'll be excited about the matchup. ... It's a game that we should have won, and it's a game we'll win next year."
That's not all.
Kiffin took exception to the fact that headsets for Tennessee coaches were not working before the game. As a result, both sides had to disregard headsets for the game's first series. UT held Alabama's offense to a three-and-out.
"It was just amazing," Kiffin said. "Our kickoff team goes out, everything's working in pregame and about 10 seconds before the opening kick our headsets just happen to go off -- in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Amazing deal. Just like the penalties today. ... Everything was great. We tested everything, came out right before kickoff and all of sudden they don't work. I've seen that before and heard of it before. They have happened to come back at the end of the first series. Then all of a sudden they worked, after our defense wasn't able to get the personnel from upstairs for the whole first series. They happened to come back. It would be just great timing so Coach Saban and their defense would be able to have their headsets."
And about the penalties ... Tennessee was flagged eight times for 68 yards, and Alabama logged one penalty for 10 yards.
"Interesting game that way," Kiffin said. "We're the No. 2 team in the country in least penalties out of 120 teams and come down here and have eight enforced penalties and a couple declined, and they have one. We obviously have to do a better job at that when we go on the road in Tuscalooosa."
