I am sad to see CAJ go. Not because of his W-L record, but because I liked his enthusiasm. As for the next coach? Don't expect any championship-level coaches. The appeal to the Alabama job is what could be. Football will always be #1. Basketball could be #2 (IMO Softball and Gymnastics are #2 and #3 right now). When an outside coach looks at the Alabama opportunity, they are looking for a resume builder. Improve Alabama to a consistent tournament team and you're golden.

I'd take that coach at Wofford, Mike Young, if he could bring those 3 guards with him!! Their FT%s, 84%, 90%, and 91%. The kid shooting 91% is the all time D1 3 point FG made with OVER 500+!!!!!!!

Gotta say, I called the firing and Pelphrey bring named interim several weeks ago. Not under THIS particular scenario, though. I figured the trigger would've been pulled a lot sooner and Pelphrey would've had a "working interview" as interim during postseason play.
