šŸˆ Report: UAB football has returned (?)

Good for them. They needed a break and I think Bill Clark did a remarkable job getting that place straightened out before they shut it down. I hope their fans support it and stop sitting on their hands...and their checkbook.

UAB's being consistent, they do everything without a plan it appears. Killed the program and starting the program.

UAB fans better fill that POS stadium every home game.

They came so close to doing that last fall.

Seriously, this is from a friend of mine who goes to their games. He took this in the first half of a game.

At least they seemed to have raised the money from private donations rather than raising student fees for those who by and large could not care less about their football program. My dislike for them stems mainly from their using public funds to finance the money pit and, let's call it what it was, outright fabrication of home attendance figures in order to meet the home attendance figures required to meet the minimum attendance requirement to remain in the FBS. All for a program that has been so inept over their entire existence that getting to 6-6 last year was counted as a great season.

Now is the time for those that whined, bitched, and moaned the loudest to step up and actually put their asses in the seats and actually "buy" tickets! I have several friends and family that graduated from UAB and they don't give a rats ass about UAB football. It will take them 3-4 years to get back to 6-6 and by then, Bill Clark will be gone to a better job.

Don't
Sorry, just figured it was conversation-worthy.

Don't misunderstand my post, Jill. I dont live in AL anymore but I do understand deficits.

This free UAB thing, especially with the conflict of interest from the state Rep is encapsulized with a common retort.

Bullshi

I say I dont give a damn...interesting story. But, it has a bearing on how many people? For how.much money?
