šŸˆ Remember hearing about OU's Joe Mixon punching a girl?

Haven't seen a single person on here say it was "okay"... in fact I think everyone that doesn't think the guy should be murdered for his actions have all pretty much still said yeah he was a piece of **** for throwing a haymaker at a female (I've seen it at least half a dozen times at this point). My whole point was lets not pretend like she was this little delicate flower that had no fault in the situation because she 100% does hold some fault.

Read social media. There are those that believe she deserved it, lots.

What was taken personal? You're assuming I took something personal based off of what? Im not argumentative on "every flippin post" but some of you take everything I say like I'm being combative when Im not (maybe its the way I word things but Im really not). I was pointing out a double standard (that you made sure to not even attempt to defend by the way)....

What double standard? If you went back and re read my previous posts, without going into some extended diatribe, I said that I imagine something previous happened between the two groups long before they walked in the restaurant. I was too vague I guess.
As for your posts, Maybe the way you word things comes across as combative and argumentative. I've seen and read some posts between you and some others that lead to that belief.

As for this situation, I think we can agree that alcohol played a large role in this. We can also get a pretty good idea of how the 2 sides were raised. Her side, don't let anyone run over you and his side, don't take any shit from ayone. I have seen this first hand for the last 23 years as a teacher with my last 18 at an elementary school. It goes back to how they are raised. I see kids that come running to tell everytime someone "farts in the line" and I've seen those that will throw punches if someone bumps into them and doesn't apologize for it.

We're not talking about social media, we're talking about this site, this thread. Dude, there are people on social media that feel "the jews deserved it" and will say any nasty thing to any person no matter if its a post about someones baby dying or something. The internet is the breeding ground for sick people.

The double standard of it "not mattering" what her criminal record is compared to the numerous times we see someone get shot, stabbed, knocked out, etc. and have their criminal pasts sprawled all over the media.

I am :D and last I checked a forum (aka this site) is social media as well.

Well according to witnesses she spit on him and called him a "n*gger"... Im losing sympathy for her by the second...

By Joe's account on video, she didn't spit or call him a name. She simply pushed him and slapped him like a dude (which is absolute bullshit based on the video). He knocked her out, broke her jaw and other facial bones.

Someone should have whooped his ass for that shit.

I said it didn't matter and stand by it. As for shootings and stabbings, I haven't made any comment about any such thing. As far as I'm concerned, taking someone's life, shooting, stabbing, knocking said person out is only justifiable in the context in which it happens and not because a prior history. As for this girl, her previous conviction for a DUI, drugs, etc. didn't justify Mixon knocking the shit out of her. I said that "more than likely, something happened between the 2 parties long before they were picked up on those cameras in the restaurant." Neither party was free of guilt, but she damn sure didn't deserve to take a right cross to the side of her face!!

See thats why I find interesting... everytime we see someone on CNN that gets shot by a cop or by a moron that thinks hes a cop playing neighborhood watch the first thing we ALWAYS see is the VICTIMS criminal history... no one seems to have a problem with it then? Just points out how that person was a "thug" and why they "deserved it"... Wonder what the difference is here? Hmmmm.... Your response was exactly my point...

But dont pretend that her admittedly being drunk and high at the time has no barring on the situation, it certainly does.

Are you just going to ignore the immediate reaction by the media and groups like BLM in those same cases to call the perpetrator of the event (the shooter) a racist without all of the facts much less prior knowledge of that person's character or background? Because what you're alluding to is anytime a black person is assaulted/killed by a white person, right? So, is that not a double standard?

Nope, that is a huge problem too.

I still need to watch the video. My initial thought, he just confirmed what I've always thought about him.

I think Stoops is caught up in damage control. This video gets out 2.5 years ago I don't think the outrage would be any less. Perhaps since Ray Rice, Stoops has found religion, the rest of us have been believers.
