To say the least, it lived up to the thoughts and expectations I had about him carrying a game ball into BDS yesterday.

I mentioned he was selected as an Honorary Game Caption a few days ago and we discussed in briefly in a thread before the game.

For those of you that didn't see him on the field...

He come off the field with his daughter, then ran down the field (home sideline) into the north endzone, threw his game ball in the crowd, and then started jumping up and down firing up the fan base. If that wasn't enough, he stopped, then continued to fire the crowd up even more which eventually circulated throughout the entire stadium.

I've talked to several and to a man they say it was the most emotional thing they have witnessed in BDS, ever. I'm sure there were a lot of emotions on Siran's side, but it had the exact effect I thought it would when I brought it up a few days ago.

Literally, how could we have lost with that kind of support!

He even did his part on the sidelines it looked like. I'm guessing this was on the challenge from Tubs on the spot and Siran, like all of us, knew it was that short and we should go for the first down.

** I've heard a few have video of it...as soon as it's up I'll publish it here **

If you can watch what happened there yesterday and not get a little misty....then there is something wrong with you.

It was incredibly moving.

I love Alabama.

I was there and we he showed up on the jumbotron, i started crying. It was so emotionally moving to see him standing there with his one daughter, minus 4 others. I do not know how he did it. Then when he started running down the sidelines jumping up down and waving his arms, the stadium got loud. It was awesome and I knew then, we had to win this game.

It was incredibly emotional. I loved Siran Stacy when he played at BAMA and it was so special to me to see him there bringing out the game ball. The place went NUTS! It was so loud and yep, I knew then we were gonna win. The place was electric.

He certainly moved WAYYY up on my all time fav player list!

That was BY FAR the best ever honorary captain (sorry Prothro)

I dont think he intended to throw his ball up in the stands.....he just got too fired up and slung it!

GREAT GREAT GREAT JOB BY SIRAN

I Held up fine untill he started running down the sidelines and fireing up the crowd. that's when i lost it. I started wiping my eyes. Never been that stung at a game before.

I do not know if the team has an "Officail Team Chaplin" or not (i checks the web site and found nothing) butif they don't i could think of NO ONE better that Siran.

The first memory I have as a Bama fan was listening to a game where Siran broke a long touchdown run down the sidelines. I'm not sure what game or year it was, but I remember the play like it was yesterday.

It's only fitting that he was back on the sidelines of the best Iron Bowl victory that I have ever witnessed!!!

Roll Tide!!!

'89 vs UT maybe? I've seen it on youtube...see if that is the one.

I felt like what many of you felt like. I could not help but smile and wipe away a few tears because I know that he was in a place that made him felt loved by so many people.

That video is simply AMAZING! It looked like he was about to take on the world!!

He has been through more pain than any person should ever have to endure, yet he's standing tall and shaking his fist at the devil! UNREAL!!!

He loses most of his family, he almost dies, yet he is a GIANT and stands tall in front of everyone!!!

No words due justice for Siran Stacy!

I said beforehand that I didn't think anyone could ever top Prothro running out the ball in 2006. Boy was I wrong. Whoever made this happen or thought of it is a genius. Powerful moment in Alabama football!!

I don't know him personally, but I think this moment meant as much to him as it did to us.

One of the most moving experiences I've ever witnessed or even heard about in a college football game! It's a testament to what this program means to people. Siran Stacy deserved every bit of that applause he got. That was incredible and the stadium never came down off that noise level for the entire game.

Roll Tide Siran! May God continue to bless you!

Thanks for posting this video.

That is why I hate CBS they have so many commercials that the UGA went over and we missed the first 3 minutes of the game. They never showed Siran at all.
