Did anybody really think Johnson would be leading Alabama in tackles and interceptions?

“Of course, your father’s always going to think the best of you. But he really believed it,” Johnson said. “He’d always say just keep doing what you’re doing and you’re going to be successful one day. That’s what I’ve been doing and I’m glad I’m here at the University of Alabama doing it.”

His grandfather was a heck of a guy himself. My mom worked in dialysis and he was one of their patients. Every Saturday night he would tell all of them before they left "Don't yall forget to go to church on Sunday!"

He had a shirt at his funeral/viewing I believe that said "Shad's squad"...pretty fitting.
