So schools will go deeper into the hole. As a result, schools will be forced to cut teams. For profitable schools like Alabama, athletes will make more in college than in the pros. You don't think that will sway the recruiting landscape?

Not that they will, but the NCAA needs to tell Congress to fuck off. Fines be damned or any other punishment be damned. Congress needs to learn that they're not some collection of all-knowing, all-seeing demi-gods with unlimited powers.
