What are some of the more successful sitcoms that many people seemed to enjoy, but that you didn't find funny or entertaining at all?

I'll give my Top Bottom 5... I've seen enough of all of these over the years to have more than a decent sample size...

5. M*A*S*H*
4. Roseanne
3. Will and Grace
2. The Beverly Hillbillies
1. Two and a Half Men

Two and a Half Men should really be in a category by itself, I think it's that awful.

What say you?

My bottom 5+
5. Modern Family
4. Office Both the USA and Bits.
3. The Simpsons
2. South Park
1. Will and Grace

I have more I could list, but you only ask for your bottom 5. Like you I do have and honor mention.

To me, Modern Family was hit or miss. Really good writing but a couple of the main characters just wore on my nerves and the series seemed to get worse the longer it was on.

Loved The Office, up until Micheal Scott left. Another show with great writing and IMO, they nailed the casting. Creed Bratton is an all-timer.

Was never a big fan of the Simpsons or South Park. In some ways I appreciate what South Park did in pushing the envelope, but I just never found it all that funny. I think a lot of that was just people feeling like they had to like it because everyone else liked it.

Here's a list of a top 100 if it helps refresh some memories on some top shows... I haven't seen quite a few of them... Some I know would be awful, like anything with George Lopez...

What say you?
MASH, Cheers, Frasier, Taxi - that type of humor appeals to me. Those shows, along with Johnny Carson and Letterman in his 80's late show prime, make up much of the TV portion of my humor. Throw in some Grizzard with a dash of Erma Bombeck on written side, and that defines me. I think you also have to consider the generation. The goofy 60's-70's stuff (Gilligan, Hillbillies, Happy Days) were staples for me as a kid, but now I don't think I'd spend my time on it. That being said, I still chuckle at Hamlet set to music.

My bottom five:

Roseanne - We agree here.
Friends - Seinfeld without comedy, but still with the self-absorbed cast.
Simpsons - Funny in microdoses.
Ellen - I thought she ripped off every line and physical gimmick from Lucy/Laverne & Shirley, and just wasn't good at it.
Chico and the Man - Sanford and Son wannabe.

I pulled up this list to see if Life in Pieces was listed.

I'm rebuilding and antiquing an old Charleston bench...threw it up in the background because it'd been a long times since I'd seen an episode. Good writing.

The Wonder Years too... I didn't see it as a sitcom.
1992. A lady from a local church rang the doorbell with a petition in hand asking me to sign it and boycott the local ABC station because of NYPD Blue. I told her I'd sign if it they included The Wonder Years.

I don't recall her ever speaking with me again. 🤷‍♂️

Should have thrown Melrose Place in there for good measure. :p

5) South Park
4) Coach
3) Family Matters (WAY too much emphasis on the "side character" Urkel)
2) How I Met Your Mother
1) Spin City

Agree with most of these.... South Park was ok at times, but grew old, fast. I always liked Coach though... was talking to a friend about it the other day (he brought it up for some reason). Haven't seen it in years... I went and looked on Apple to see if they had the seasons... nope.
