It's nice to see Vandy getting a little love!

The AP Top 25 ranking is the first for the school since the 1984 season, when the then 4-0 Commodores were coming off a road win at Alabama.

Vanderbilt also entered the USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll at No.25, earning 103 overall points. It marks the first time the Commodores have ever been ranked in USA Today/ESPN's version of the coaches poll.

Very happy for Vandy here.

Interesting question: Which SEC team has not been ranked for the longest time, and how long has that been?... now that Vandy and 1984 is no longer the answer.

It would have to be Ole Miss, wouldn't it? All the other teams in the East were ranked last year.

When it comes to the West, I would think the last time Ole Miss was ranked was the year Eli was at the QB position?

I have to think that this is yet another way in which the SEC can boast to be the best (i.e. most well balance conference top to bottom, as defined by having the shorted period of time within which all conference members have been ranked.)

The only polls that matter are after the NC Game
baby !!!!

I respectfully disgree, because the polls going into that game have more to do with who plays in the game. Afterwards, the polls are nothing more than a ranking of the losers. :D

Interesting that we are one of 3 teams in the top 10 that are 4-0!!! Mizzou is one of them. Guess who the other one is???

That's right--dem Dawgs!!!! Time to walk them!!!
