🏈 Poll: Did the Coffee selection surprise you?

Were you surprised to see Glen go that early, and in front of some of our other guys? I'm happy to see Glen get selected, but I kinda felt like he'd be more of a 4th-rounder, and would certainly go AFTER guys like Rashad and Caldwell.

Any thoughts?

Speaking of Caldwell, it looks like the Texans are liking them some Alabama ball players. With their success in drafting 'Meco, they look to cash in on Caldwell. Sweet.

I was a little surprised, until I saw it was the 49ers who took him.
I think he would fit their coaching staff perfectly, so I cant say I am all that surprised looking back at it.

def. not a sixth rounder like the guy above me said (i dont think ANYONE had him that low) but yea I was surprised he went in front of Shad. I thought it was a possibility of him going late 3rd but not that early in the 3rd. Regardless I'm glad for him and with Frank Gore being injury prone he may have some shots early. Glad for Antoine too, them Texans love them Bama boys dont they and sad to see Rashad fall so far in the 3rd but the Cards got them a hell of a steal there.

I selected yes, then had second thoughts about it...used Admin discretion and changed my vote. :smile: I'm the lone "other" right now...

I'd like to see what kind of deal he signs. That'll be my final judgment on his early move.

To be honest I answered yes. I didn't think he was the best back available at the time, but the niners got a good back.

I didn't think he'd go before Rashad and Antoine, but not shocked it was the third round. IMO, Coffee fits the bill of what Singletary is looking for(or at least what I think he's looking for) a hard nosed no-nonsense kind of guy with a good head on his shoulders.

To be honest, I thought it was about right. I think the league wants RBs that aren't all about flash and have no durability to them. I think GC and his punishing style are going to be what teams want.
