🏈 Play football...there is no real reason not to.

I normally don't watch Huckabee, but I did watch this segment with Rep. Steve Scalise, he nearly died after being shot on the bb practice field 3 years ago. Toward the end of this interview, Scalise talks about his investigation into the deaths of elderly patients jn nursing homes in 5 democrat led states. Worth a watch.

Eyes are finally being opened to just how overblown this has become. The government forced the cancellation of all sports and they are doing their damnedest to get college football cancelled. Now school admins are talking about a school year that would start in mid August and would run until Thanksgiving, in which students would break until at least the second week of January. Then, they come back, only to turn around and leave again in mid-March, doing the remainder of the year online. And they are talking about it being that way from now on. They need to get a fucking grip on the hysteria and fast.

The Fall semester as you describe it isn't much different from the past. The only part that really changes is the online portion after mid-March.

I just wonder why they need to call it a school year (in person, anyway) in March. That would be following exactly what they did this past school year. But, this past March was different. That was the beginning of the pandemic and at the beginning of everything shutting down. At the time, they were looking at closing for maybe a month and then resuming in mid-April, but that quickly got changed to being closed for the remainder of the school year. I just wonder why they feel the need to follow last year's plan, given that nobody really knew what was happening at that time. They could be thinking about a resurgence in late November. But, if that's the case, why open back up in January? They may as well have all of next school year online. I'd hate to be one of the ones having to make these decisions.

That's not happening at all. Altering schedules is a small imposition. I want football as badly as anyone, but my buddy at a large San Antonio hospital is extremely worried. They are seeing huge jumps in hospitalizations. ICU is nearly 100% full, ventilators nearly all in use. They can't take any more increases. Luckily my hospital is not seeing those increases, but the restrictions just got lifted here yesterday. In AZ and TX, loosening restrictions has not been going well.

Thinking with logic is irrelevant.
