🏈 Pendry talks about life after coaching

Some of you might recall this, some maybe not.

I'm trying to think of the players name, but can't pull it off the top of my head. It was Saban's first coaching clinic...the one where he had Bilichick in as the key note speaker.

Fernando Bryant, that's who it was. He'd just signed a one year deal and was playing with one of the Britt boys; Wesley?

Anyway, Bryant made the comment it was the first time he'd felt welcomed at the Capstone in years. Fernando credited Saban for that.

Pendry's role will be developing more of these relationships...

Love the move!

Me too. And I love the fact the administration realizes the need for such a role. Trust me, from the former players I meet and talk to at games and on flights they want to be included. Many of them still have very strong emotional ties to the University. Heck, even David Magadan (former Tide baseball player) told me as much. You wouldn't exactly expect a baseball player to feel that way necessarily.

Justin Smiley and others even moved back to Tuscaloosa (then again, some never really even leave). I'd move to Tuscaloosa in a heart-beat if I could.
