🏈 Paul Finebaum

He jumps on whoever is down and likes to play people against each other. He's very smart and very much an entertainer. In person he's a nice guy, but can you trust someone who makes his living belittling and demeaning people when they fail or experience a set back?

The key word is entertainment.

He takes his writing seriously, but realizes that newspaper is an out of date medium. I think he enjoys writing his one article a week and counts his money all the way to the bank.
He is pretty legit on what he tries to "report" as news and usually is spot on when it comes to having his facts straight on what he does report. Typically I listen for entertainment value. He has some great guests on and they seem to get into the act (at least some of them) when it comes to stirring up the fan bases. Using him as a news source is sort of like trying to listen to WZZK in the mornings for some good country music during the Rick and Bubba show.

What rj said!

He can do some good interviews, and have good guests on his show (like Cecil Hurt and Herbstriet), but other than that he's worthless. He is a genius though, as he has found a way, much like Jerry Springer did, to find a niche with a certain class of people (for the most part). He hauls them in day, after day, after day... with the same old bait. The only thing I loathe worse than his radio show is his callers... especially the "regulars". I'd imagine that from 2-6 every afternoon, his show is broadcast over the sound system in hell. As for his other work, I don't read his articles. I've got no use for a sports "journalist" who doesn't know a damn thing about sports (see also clowns like Kevin Scarbinsky). Wanna stump Finebaum? As him to explain the difference between the cover 2 and the cover 3 defense... or the Wishbone and the Veer. That is why he writes joke books, not books about football.

To recap, he is the epitome of suck.
