🏈 Pacific Institute- Dr. Kevin Elko

Sorry if this has already been touched on. As you may recall, Kevin Elko was the motivational speaker who came down last year prior to the season and focused the team in on team building exercises and other tasks that I believe really bolstered the team to success. He was on the Finebaum show just recently but I only caught the tailend of the segment and I was just wondering if anyone knew if he came back this year to help with the team or if that was just a one time thing. Thanks. Also as an additional discussion topic, do you think this guy has any impact on the team and its success? :a:

That was a refreshing segment to listen to on the way home. Better than listening to the normal callers call in and trash talk the whole time.

Did he have an impact on last years team? I think so, especially the seniors who had already faced so much adversity in the years past. Based off of what I heard from Dr. Elko yesterday, he could see it in their eyes during his speech. Although he did also note that Saban was pretty good at that himself.

We definitely had leadership on both sides of the ball (Rashad and J.P.). Even though we fell short of our goal, I hope their example will be remembered and hopefully repeated.

Are we ready for BAMA football? What say you!!!

I've read Nerves of Steel and The PepTalk by Elko.
He's impressive. Positive thinking and self motivation. It definitely had an impact on my way of thinking. I'd bet some of those young men were affected by him. I'm sure it couldn't hurt to have him back.
