🏈 Overestimating Georgia

Did I ever! I still think the Viles are bad. I just don't know what to think about Jawja. Maybe it was a case of the "after LSU" letdown. Maybe all those missed tackles indicate that the dogs' defense is really just that bad. At any rate, I never dreamed the Dawgs wouldn't cover that spread. This is one of those times I'm glad Bamabucks aren't real currency.

Both cases of an emotional let down and injuries throughout the game. Georgia should have put them away when they were up 17-3 and driving, but couldn't. Let a team get the momentum, get the crowd into it, its hard to stop.

Agree with raider, lots of injuries plus a hangover from the LSU game. LSU didnt exactly play lights out against MSU either until the 4th. That game was close throughout until MSU sh*t the bed late.

Yea I agree. I think they had a combination of bad luck with injuries and then also I think they had a emotional letdown similar to what we had against A&M last year.

Something else that hasn't been mentioned is that Neyland Stadium can be a tough place to play when you let UT get some momentum. Hell, having to listen to Rocky Top every time they make a damn tackle will get in your head enough.

Georgia has a very good team.

Update on UGA injuries.

I hate it for Marshal, but I think his injury is due in part of all of these targeting penalties. If the DB hits him up high the DB gets a 15 yard penalty and he eliminated from the game, so the DB goes low and blows Marshal's knee out. Not intentionally, but he's just trying to avoid to penalty.

That's the way I saw it atleast.

19 of 35 for 196 yards. I doubt AJ would get props for such a night.

Hard to argue but in the context of what he did and when he did it, he was who carried the Leg Humpers over the finish line. The 56 yard run late in the game was completely willpower and unexpected. His game reminded me a lot of AJ's last year against LSU....he willed his team to the win.

I've never agreed with those who put Murray as the best QB in the SEC. Heck, I think ESPN's Chris Lowe has had him as the #1 guy in the conference for three years running.

My biggest objection to where he has been ranked has been his W's and L's against top ranked teams. Along with that has been his habit of tossing INT's in the big SEC games throughout his career. Against UT he didn't throw a single pick. Now, UT certainly hasn't made it back to the upper tier of SEC teams and UofSC isn't doing as well as some expected this season. However, in both games, he didn't throw an INT. (One versus LSU.)
