These days there is so much context left out of these sound bites would be better to here it directly. So many times there is tongue in cheek banter and the woke generation gets all worked up. That may not be the case here but I just do not trust a lot of this. It certainly would not be out of character for Orger...

Someone said that a guy called into O's show and said his sister was in attendance at the restaurant where the show was and it was her birthday. That's when O said Happy birthday, where is she? And the caller responded with she's only 20 so try not to sleep with her. It was a prank call. But for most people saying something like the fishing hole comment would just be a bad joke and no one would think twice about it. But when a public figure makes a bad joke like that it's a big deal. I know O was joking and it's not a big deal, but in the public eye it takes on more significance. I also think it's only a matter of time now. I think LSU is trying very hard to fire O with cause so they don't have to pay the buyout.

How is it out of context? The entire context is in the video? The guy made a stupid comment about O not trying to have sex with the caller's sister because she's a little blonde and O said for guys like that they have a hole in the bayou to put him in. I don't think he was seriously saying he's gonna murder the guy but it wasn't out of context at all. I dont think it's been blown out of proportion either (yet) as this is the only place I've seen it pop up so far. Not saying it wont be though.

LSU's administration has consulted/worked/counseled with Orgeron since he's been there about his public personna. He's PR nightmare, and with all of other things going on he can't "cut bait and run" on his call-in show?

The comment wasn't taken out of context, but the fact we're still talking about it - and arguing over it - means it's been blown out of proportion. Everyone knew what he meant.

O's an idiot, and we're nitpicking over who's most accurately stating that fact. I see no one defending him, just saying the caller who got by the screener - quite skillfully - probably deserved being called an asshole.

LSU has two choices here, run with it till the end of the year and hope Orgeron doesn't inflict too much of his nonsense on the program and let him go, or just take your lumps and fire him. I personally don't give a nutria's ass about him nor their program. Hope they keep him for the long haul.
