nothing wrong with a hard working Cajun.
With a few exceptions like ripping your shirt off and creating a Wild Boyz soiree...
Or crushing a full can of Red Bull on your head...
Or punching yourself in the face in a team meeting...

Yep. Nothin' wrong with that guy. Not at all.

That guy has found a way to make millions of dollars, win football games when folks like you said they wouldn't (I should have made that bet with you pre-season), and is working his dream job. I'd say he's doing what he needs to do to be successful and happy. Hell, we're all a little crazy in our own ways. Saw a Tim Brando interview with him, he quit the energy drinks, ha ha.

Speaking of "bets", I still owe you a Pappy cigar. I haven't forgotten. Pick a box and I'll order them. Still in the infant stages of knowing and understanding cigars, though I like them.

They haven't proven me wrong yet. I said under 7.5 wins. :D

Yet, I saw an interview a couple of weeks ago where he mentioned having one. And, the incident with the Red Bull happened this season. That interview with Brando was when...early summer, maybe?

I really don't care one way or another what he drinks. He's a loose cannon.

The hook will get you every time. Damn half point.

A win over Rice kills a parlay and a single over/under wager. Oh well. Happens. 5 team parlay, five single wagers.

Took the over on Texas, WVU, WSU, A&M, and the under on LSU. Looks like I'm going four out of five. I came real close to taking the under on UofSC instead of the over on WSU...looks like I should have switched them with LSU.

Texas would have been the one to trip me up. I like the Washington State pick. Didn't expect them to beat Oregon, but I knew they would be a decent team this season.

The game isn't going to be as close as people think. LSU players will be getting frustrated soon after the half and will start accumulating penalties because of lack of discipline. They will have another ejection for targeting.

something else i've been thinking about...

are they pinning all their hopes of winning on this one player? with all this crap about "free devin white" and stuff (although i though he was already free...no longer a slave), how does it look to the other players when they're screaming so loud about this one guy? what about them and their talents? do they not think the rest of the team has enough talent to beat BAMA? do they think that mr. white is such a destructive force that he, alone, will conquer our offense and cause us to not score a single point against them?

ok, so you're trying to support your player. but is he the only player on the team? where's their show of support for the rest of the team? how about, "we don't even need him to beat BAMA. we can do it without him, that's how good lsu is".

also, do they really think all this talk and hashtag crap is really gonna get the office of sec officials to reverse the call NOW?

It certainly hurts if they want to contain early. The weakness in the line is inside, what better way to attack it than a good linebacker?

My new thought is their best player being 100% fresh in the second half when everyone else has been banging bodies for thirty minutes. Always a slobber knocker, and IF, IF, IF LSU can keep it close in the first half, could a fresh Devin White make a difference in the second half?

While he is their leading tackler, he has 1 sack on the season for -2 yards and 7 TFLs for a whopping -8 yards. He ain't making a difference!!

things like are what i'm talking about. how much of a difference can one player make? if it's at a skill position like a qb or a dominating wr or rb, then i can see where one player can make a big difference (think Tua, Amari, Derrick). but for someone at that position with those kinds of stats, it tells me that he isn't THAT good of a player. i can't say if he's a bad player or not since i don't watch lsu games (until next saturday). but with the stats you posted, @TerryP , those tell me he isn't that dominating of a player. someone like Derrick Thomas? now HE was a dominating defensive player.

27 sacks in a single college season
52 sacks in his college career

but Devin White with 1 sack? and 7 TFLs for only -8 yards? not even close to being dominating.

Yeah, but 4.5 is nice to have when everyone else is drained. I don't think it will be close, so it doesn't matter. I think we are up by 21 at half.

#FreeDevinWhite

It started with billboards, which was our ground game. Now we are going vertical.

Operation Purple Sky will commence tomorrow, with the flying of an aerial banner with the #FreeDevinWhite logo.

It will be flown over the Jacksonville area for the Florida-Georgia game, for two hours during the time slots in which certain cable shows are doing their broadcasts from Jacksonville.

The following week we will do the same flight in Baton Rouge for the LSU-Bama game.

Each flight is about $2000, for a total of $4,000.

All extra funds, and we hope they will be substantial, will go to the United Cajun Navy, which has been providing immediate and effective hurricane relief at a grass-roots level to hurricane and flood victims across the country.

That's a Geaux Tigers.

wow! these people are just sick with this.

i honestly can not believe, even for crazy-ass cajuns, that they're still on about this.

if BAMA wins the game big, what will they say? it was solely because devin white wasn't able to play in the 1st half. if they win big, without him, what will they say, then? what will their excuse be?

and what if he were there for the whole game and BAMA wins big? what kind of excuses would they make for that?

they're line of thinking and passion about certain things just baffles me, sometimes.

yes, it was the wrong call; it shouldn't have been targeting. but it's over and done with. again i ask, what about the other players on the field? do they not trust them to get the job done?
