also, there are a couple tweets from lsu fans showing videos of both the play in the lsu game and the play in our game with Mack Wilson hit the tenn qb. and they're saying that the hit Mack Wilson did was "10x worse" than the one Devin White was called for. well, i don't know about 10x worse, as that's a pretty big number when you do some actual math on it (not like lsu fans could actually do math, though).

was Mack's hit harder? yes...yes it was. was it targeting? personally, i don't think it was. was Devin White's hit targeting? personally, i don't think it was, either. Neither Wilson nor White hit the opposing player directly in the head or neck. White had his arm up in between himself and the miss st qb. and Wilson hit the tenn qb in the chest with his helmet. the chest is neither the head or the neck. hell, White had his head up and his facemask made contact with the miss st. qb's facemask. he didn't lower his head, he didn't hit him with the crown of his helmet...it was his facemask.

also, in the comments section, the first comment that comes up when i click on them, is this one by an (obvious) lsu fan...

Bama's Defensive weakness seems to be the passing game, although saying weakness is not correct... it's weakest point on defense would be better...

LSU's passing offense is ranked 102nd.

The question becomes, how much can LSU slow down Bama's offense.... 'cause I don't see LSU scoring a bunch of points in this game. Maybe 10-17 total points in true game game? I'd also expect Bama to score on at least 5 possessions.... and would suggest many more than that.

So... where does that leave you?

I'm not saying Bama is unbeatable, but I am saying it will take another team that can score often to do it... and LSU hasn't shown me they are that type of team.

I was just making a point that LSU will have a very hard time scoring on our D, IMO. Their passing Offense is pathetic statistically speaking and our weakness, if you can call it that, would be the passing defense more so than the running defense... but in all honestly we haven't seen a good running team yet and have seen plenty of good passing teams so maybe our running D hasn't been tested yet and our passing D has been well vetted...

Either way, I think LSU will need to pass the ball to keep up with us and I just don't see them able to do that.

Their QB position isn't any better today that it was last year, or the year before.

I love Orgeron. A lot of people make fun of him and don't like him, but I really enjoy the guy. nothing wrong with a hard working Cajun. They've always been very nice to me in New Orleans, even with my Alabama gear on.
