...they look REALLY good offensively.

I know some of that is due to Miami playing some subs, but I like the way the 'Pins line up and go up-tempo. They are really gashing the Miami defense. They look well-coached and crisp on offense. O'Brien is a very nice looking QB. Kid can really sling the rock. Take away the one bone-headed throw and he's looking golden right now.

The one thing I don't care for is the constant WR screen, but I understand why they do it. It's only a matter of time tonight before they go over the top for 70 and a TD against Miami.

Bingo! Miami is missing a lot of starters on D. I do like the scheme though.

I see no reason Edsall can't put the Maryland program back on the map. We've seen what he did at UConn. Consider me one in the Maryland football camp, ya know? It should be a fun to watch the rebuild.

yeah but i kinda miss friedgen's fat butt. he was kinda like the coach-and-mascot-in-one. i don't know exactly what a terrapin looks like so when i think about a terrapin or hear the word, i think of Friedgen.

You would think that Maryland has all the requirements to be a very good program. Just have not had all the pieces in place at one time I guess. I agree with your statement on Edsell. I think they might have finally found a coach to put them over the top.

I just hope they continue with their traditional uniforms. I've always loved their colors. Back when I played NCAA football games, Maryland was always the 3rd team I would build up in dynasty mode, behind Bama (of course) and Texas A&M.

Something else to consider here.

Let's assume the players really bought into the uniform changes to open the season. On top of that they come out with a win like this one.

Now, they've jump started their season as well as a coach can without using a "black out."

And changing the subject a little...

Here we find ourselves on the road with another team using a "______ out." I consider that and how it would help jump start PSU if they could pull an upset. Then again, I think about how many players on our team went through the "black out" game. I suspect they'll remember...

It was different but in a way, I thought it was kinda tight. I'm glad BAMA isn't wearing those unis but I don't mind them as much as a lot of other people do.

I liked the maryland uni's in a weird way. cool that they integrated the state flag into things, creative if you ask me. i've never seen so many people complain about uni's before - all the various fan forums, twitter blew up with it. maybe terry is right, they did get some attention.

would I want bama to get wild like that, no. I did like the faint houndstooth pattern in the numbers a few years ago (or maybe it was last year).
