Here's one for you. There's only one other team that's used a shark as a type of mascot...also a Rebel.

UNLV. They are the Running Rebs, and when Tarkanian was the basketball coach they also had a shark mascot in honor of Tark the Shark.

Yes. Yesterday, I was trying to post questions for fb members in The Lighter Side of Life, but could not post my reply. I thought I was having issues with RTB, thus the test post. I guess the powers that be at fb did not like the questions I was asking?

I ran a test on your username/account and analyzed permissions...nothing I can see on our end that would cause an issue. Hell, try the question(s) here and tag it "OT" for a prefix.

You of all people, OP, would know the history behind our chosen mascot, and our colors that existed before the chosen mascot.

Nonsensical to some, maybe. But at least elephants are ACTUAL things that ACTUALLY exist.

Nobody has the history of Alabama, so some teams have to make it up (while being shamed about their Colonel Reb mascot). It makes sense to us, but not to people outside of us. Same goes for the Ole Miss Fish and their new image (since the bear made no sense either).
