Gotcha. I would have assumed this much, but Colonial Reb and the Rebels name was supposedly the issue (atleast I would have assumed) due to the BS political climate, so I was just getting lost in all that crap.

@BamaFan334, Col. Reb was a motivating factor. The Rebels nickname wasn't. As least that's how I recall reading all of this. On page one I refer to another team using the Rebels as part of their nickname...did so thinking about how they'd end up changing their name if they dropped Rebels.

I think the state really should change its name. That should help with the problem. For the record, fighting admiral ackbars was the best mascot.

I honestly didn't see why they had to quit calling themselves the rebels. Works for Nevada Las Vegas. If they had just stop waving that confederate flag on game day it probably would never have gotten so political.
