🏈 Ole Miss or South Carolina

Argo wins the thread with his post, but just to throw in some small analysis...

It was more of horrible preparation and play-calling by the coaches then Ole Miss being overrated. Typical Nutt though, he's use to being in the underdog role, not a solid SEC team that suppose to win. There was some lack of execution on Snead's part too by the way, he looked out of sync all night.

Poor coaching on Ole Miss's part if you ask me. Why do you wait until the 4th quarter to unleash McCluskey. He could have single handedly won this game for the Rebels if given the chance.

This.

And, some very questionable calls on Nutt's part as well. There were two situations in this game that stuck out to me...both 4th down calls, both with the game still very close, and both where a smart coach would play for field position.

I agree. Going for it on 4th down early in the 3rd, I thought that was a sign of desperation way too early.

Well the food chain stays in order as I knew it would. Me being raised in North Ms I have listened to them Ole Miss faithful all my life. This was supposed to be there year. I am so glad they lost before they became to full of themselves. To whomever said earlier about them being penalized, I couldnt agree more. They cry about every call. Thank God and the Bear they were put out of there misery early this year.

IMO SC won this game in the 1st half. Those two long drives that ended in field goals kept their D off the field, and they had something in the tank at the end. Great job by Ellis Johnson in showing different looks. SC has an impressive front 4, and Norwood could play for anybody.

Spurrier quieted some critics with that win. Garcia was not a world beater last night, but he also wasn't killing his own team with mistakes. I like their young RB Mills. Their OL was a big concern coming into the season. They did pretty well in the first half, less well as the game wound down.

I will agree with Joe.... I think that Garcia did not lose the game but if SC had a better and more consisten QB, they put that game away before the half.. 1st and goal 3 different times and they have to kick field goals.. :headscratch:
