I copied and pasted this from one of the comments on the forum. This guy hit the nail on the head. The Sherrill debacle was similar to the Dubose debacle at UA. The life-long investigation that took place did more harm than the sanctions..........(almost) Seriously, by the time the NCAA got done ass-raping folks, the full effect of investigation and sanctions would last 6-9 years. Negative recruiting, death penalty rumors.
It is imminently clear that the NOA could be released to quell the "unfair" masses who are unfairly accusing Ole Miss of anything. When MSU was investigated under Sherrill for 3 years, there was an update every damn day in the Clarion Ledger. In fact the 3 year investigation is what was more harmful to MSU than the penalties for the "infractions" themselves. Steve and us other MSU fans are simply tired of the obvious bias the state's largest newspaper has toward Ole Miss. Hugh Kellenberger is an Ole Miss fan. Daniel Pauling uses "we" when talking about Ole Miss on twitter. Its time that Ole Miss be given the same treatment as State by the Clarion Ledger. If that won't happen then 17 let Steve Robertson do it.
