Im thinking Ole Miss plays our balls off this week:fight:
Koz,
I'm going to pull from this thread in response...
I'd agree with that, but only half of it. I think we'll see their defense play tough, but only half of the time. In other words, .500 of the game.
Just as an example, I've got all the respect in the world for how Greg Hardy can disrupt the flow of an offense. But, I've never seen him play an entire game with the intensity he's capable of.
I think if we play like we did yesterday we lose. But, I haven't been impressed by Ole Miss so far this year. So, I think unless we fall on our faces we don't lose this one. I have a friend that lives in Oxford and she said there are a lot of people down there that think this won't be a contest in the sense that Bama will smash them, but I'm not about to say we'll smash them, but I think we will win.

The UK game "worried" me more than the game this weekend does.
Last year's game is something I'll use as example. I see us doing the same thing this year as we did last year. We'll stop their running game, and force the game to be decided by Snead. Last season he threw two picks in the second quarter alone. I suspect he's going to toss a couple in this game as well.
We have to remember, this Bama team isn't the same team as the one who faced Ole Miss last year—in this regard.
We had a team last year that was good for a half, and then coasted. The first "full game" we played was against UT. If we had continued with the same effort and intensity in the second half last year as we put forth in the first half, the game would have been won by 21-24+ points. But, we coasted.
Now, in some ways the game is similar. We are basically returning the same defense...versus, the huge changes they've had on offense. In last years game, 70% of their success running came over the left side of their line. That's gone.
I feel more comfortable with our offense this year than I did last year. Sure, they'll get their penetration, but that's going to fit into our scheme better than a lot expect.
