🏀 ***OFFICIAL Bama v. Winthrop In-game thread***

Sorry, I went to Callaway Gardens with my fiance and her family.

Great win last night, especially after a rough start. Winthrop is a dangerous team with 3 potent scorers, so for the team to fight and get up by 20 and maintain the lead after half is awesome.

I am pissed right now though. Supposedly Hale failed a drug test, which means this could be a turn for the worst. Simply do not have enough scorers to compliment Retin.

Hmm... Coach said it was a "medical condition", and that he can potentially play against Oregon, but "probably not".

We essentially shut down 2 of their 3 scoring threats, and held them to 24 points below their season average. Big props to CAJ for gameplanning for that, and adjusting at the half offensively.

Pleasant surprise was Justin Coleman. Also, Jimmie Taylor. They both had double-doubles, with Coleman the team high scorer. He may have finally found his rhythm in the 2nd half.

If he can continue like this the rest of the year with consistency, he may just be our starting 1 next year, sliding Dazon over to the 2. They're both interchangeable.
