šŸˆ Odd hire to me ...Lynn Swann hired as new AD at USC

Yeah, Battle took a pay cut. He still gets dividends from CLC but no longer gets salary from them.
As I recall, he sold CLC to IMG in 2007 for a nine figure deal so I don't believe he took a "pay cut."

My point was/is even with his 620K a year salary from UA, money really wasn't a factor in him taking the job at UA. That may come into play with Ozzie (if it ever comes to that.)

Yeah but I think he still owns some shares, no longer majority shares. I also thought he was still on the board, prior to taking the Bama AD job. I think I read that somewhere.

You may be right. I don't know if he got stock options with the sell but it certainly wouldn't shock me if he did.

As I recall it was a nine figure deal with IMG. Hell, if he just kept that money in savings (with its miniscule interest) he's making more interest than he is in salary at UA. That's one of the main reasons I said I didn't believe the money was a motivating factor—or any factor for that matter—in taking the AD job.

Battle came in when Mal was very sick and couldn't do it anymore. Money wasn't a factor (other than being compensated fairly). Ozzie is only 60 so he has a lot of $1 million+ years ahead of him (but not from Alabama).
