Today marks the commencement of the early signing period and 126 of the 150 prospects in the 2021 247Sports Composite Rankings have already found their future homes. With 84-percent of the Top150 off the board, there were several programs that delivered when they had to but five really stood out.

4.) Alabama

Team Ranking: No. 13 overall

Not too often does a football school generate much buzz and excitement around the basketball program but Nate Oats and his staff have done that quickly. They delivered in a big way in 2020 securing the No. 12 overall class in the country but to build off of that for a second year in a row is significant for the Crimson Tide basketball program.

Last cycle they did it with international prospects and this class they have really proved themselves by doing it locally, which is crucial to a program like Alabama. It started with Georgia native Justin Holt who gives them a piece with size and length, who can come in and make shots on the perimeter.

Then they delivered in a massive way by landing the No. 1 point guard in the class, JD Davison right in their own state. Davison fits Nate Oats' system tremendously with his explosive athleticism, his ability to score the ball at a high level and his ability to make plays for others. He may not be in Tuscaloosa long but anytime you get a potential one-and-done prospect, that has proven to carry weight on the recruiting trail in the future classes to come.

Lastly, they looked to the JUCO route and secured Langston Wilson, further proving their diversity in their ability to land talented prospects. Wilson is another great athlete with impressive physical tools who can defend and rebound and has upside on the offensive end of the floor.

Nate Oats delivered by building off of last year's success and proving to be a serious contender on the recruiting trail and it's leading towards a bright future for the Crimson Tide.
