🏈 Now we have NBA teams deciding to boycott the season. Okay. 🤷🏼‍♂️

7-8 times in back at point blank range.....,you ok with that?

Like i said earlier...police need to also think how their actions will affect them and their families....

Thats not fair...but in todays atmoshphere...its a reality....
I cannot speak for all in this profession, but I will not die at the alter of public opinion. If at any point somebody (regardless of race) decides a particular outcome then so be it. I don’t want to have to ever use my weapon, but if somebody puts me in a position that I have no other choice then unfortunately that’s the oath I took.

In Minneapolis a day or two ago they started rioting again based on people screaming that cops shot another black man....well the video without a doubt shows a murder suspect stop and put a gun to the bottom of his chin and end his life. So, even if we start to think about “after our actions” it won’t matter because people are going to blame us for shit we had no part in.

I entertained the thought—and still am quite frankly—that one of the driving reasons behind Kellerman's recent comments fall into this category as well...he sees a section of the nation that has adopted the same mindset: "if someone puts me in the position..."

I'm curious. Are you dealing with the same thing we see in other cities? IE: With every reading of a suspect's Miranda rights they're issued a 'get out of jail card' as well.

Nope we haven’t dealt with that yet, our state is still pretty right (on the political scale) and is pretty law and order. One thing we’ve dealt with a lot the last month and a half or so more is people wanting to fight us trying to get a viral video of a cop. Today had a dude fight arrest and all the while yelling “record this shit, these pigs abusing their powers”.

There’s no way to do this job correctly and think about after our actions. It’ll get you or somebody else killed.

I do take steps to protect my kids from my profession or the jackasses that would like to do me or my family harm because they don’t like my profession. I change at work and I don’t take a squad car home.

It’s a difficult time to be in this profession, but things like those Marshals rescuing those 35 kids from that sex trafficking ring in GA make it worth it. 99% of people support us and just small thank yous or a kid waving helps with the spirits.

I'm curious, what's your feelings here? Are they looking for their "15 minutes of fame?" Or, do you see this as people emboldened by media coverages and the like? Or, perhaps both?
and I don’t take a squad car home.
They allow LEO to do that here and it's something that doesn't "sit right" with me. Their defense, for lack of a better word, has always been "it gives the appearance of a larger presence on the streets." I get that, to a degree. However, when I see a squad car from Isle of Palms at a movie theatre 50 minutes from IOP I can't help but ask, "who paid for the gas?" Or the grocery stores for that matter. I can see to and from work, but ordinary 'chores?'

I for one would like to tell you thank you. I still believe most people believe in law and order and support the police but that is certainly not the crap we see on tv these days. There is so much political correctness that is nauseating.

Trump doesn't speak that way and it drives a lot of people crazy. He is a flawed human like all of us and ego driven big time. He is a business man and not a politician and he addresses issues like that. His management style is definitely confrontational and removes obstacles forcefully if needed. This is so contrary to historical politicians but not so different for people in corporate America.

He also is not ok with the radical view of America that the socialist left seems to want (The Democrats I know do not want this either). I try not to be a conspiracy person but sure makes you ask what in our political system is being threatened to create the current atmosphere in America but somebody has something to lose.

I think it’s a little of both, but you’re more than correct I would say with the being emboldened by the media coverages. I think the other thing causing people to get froggy with their fighting is the lack of punishment for doing so, hell in places like Seattle, Portland, Chicago people haven’t even had to post bail for assaulting officers.

We’re allowed to take our cars home I just choose not to for safety reasons. We’re allowed to take them to and from work or training, absolutely nothing personal or you’re disciplined.

Thank you!! Most people support us which is good. I do appreciate that President Trump backs us and defends us as much as he can.

That makes sense. I just got back from biking at a local state park and saw an officer from a city 45 miles from here running his dogs. That doesn't make sense.

Now, I guessing here. A total assumption, right? Shih Tzus probably aren't part of the K-9 unit.
