How loud is it when viewers are down as much as they have been? There's been a consistent decline for the last eight years or so, a 20% drop in the first week of the playoffs this season. Consider, if you don't watch something do you even care if it's boycotted?

In our conversations here about the PAC and their players demanding half of the revenue It's been mentioned several times how their "wants" are insatiable. Look at what's been given to these players; Adam Silver has given them as big of a platform as possible. On the courts with Black Lives Matter. On the jerseys with their social comments. Interviews, commentary, coverage...it's all been about giving them a voice. So, "We'll boycott our platform?"
I sort of 'get this' from an emotional standpoint. It makes them feel better. But what does it accomplish in the end? Painting slogans on streets makes some people feel better but what does it accomplish in the end? Are people going to start paying more attention to what's going on around them now that they aren't playing? So many turning to sports to avoid, for at least a moment, all the news and this is the move they've chosen? To me, it seems the only thing this brings about is a widening of the gap between two sides.
Here's what I really don't understand. The boycott, the riots, and now we're seeing innocent citizens being bullied in public. I'm seeing all of this just strengthen the chances POTUS gets reelected and it's being driven by the people who openly hate POTUS the most.
