It's time for Saban & CO. to play 2 QB's. And for goodness sakes it's not about being a Hurts "Hater"... As I believe he's improved and very capable... It's about playing a very talented player that brings a different skill set to an offense that has struggled the last 2 games.

I would say at least half of our pass plays end with Jalen running to his right for one reason or another. Having a package for the lefty makes all the sense in the world. Not only is he a great thrower but athletic enough to surprise the hell of Clemson with a read option. But most importantly he's got a great arm... Why not use it?

And please don't with the "too big of a risk", or Tua might turn it over, or about how its unconventional and Hurts has this under control... The offense has stunk and Jalen's passing is a big part of it. It cannot get much more painful than the passing game we've seen in the Washington, Clemson, and and Auburn games. There has been 0 consistency... Literally...So using another QB could not make it worse.

I love what Hurts brings in terms of mental toughness and running ability. But there is so much more for this offense. Using Tua 2-3 series' vs Clemson and Oklahoma will be a great spark for this offense, and certainly something the defense could not be prepared for. More importantly it's using a very talented player to make the offense better...

I'd love to find out...

What you got against Tua? Damn

Nothing, what I have against anything is every single time Jalen throws a bad pass we hear "Tua time!". Two QBs doesn't work for a NUMBER of reasons. Whether its one looking over his shoulder wondering if hes going to get benched for making a bad play or just simply neither one can get anything going because they're having to alternate. I guarantee if they put Tua in there and he performed like the true freshman he is, ya know considering he wont be playing against beaten down backups or third string defenders or Mercer, people would be screaming for him to be replaced. Jalen Hurts is the starting QB, Tua is the backup. I hope Tua is one the day the starter and lives up to all of the ridiculous, no way to ever come even close to getting to expectations fans have put on him but this is Jalen's team.

So y'all want a guy with very very minimal game experience to come in against the best defensive line in the country and thrive? The offensive line that couldn't block Auburn or Mississippi State and you think they protect a pocket passer with no experience against a formidable opponent?

I like Tua, a whole lot. Personally can't recall a lefty with an arm like that. He's gonna be fantastic, but I just don't think he will be affective against the #1 team in the country with the best team unit in the country. Maybe he will play and if he does, I hope he proves me absolute wrong. I'm pulling for our team, not against it, so whatever it takes to win.

It's definitely feast or famine with people's analysis of Jalen's abilities. Why are we so critical with his play against Miss St? The defense wasn't having their finest hour but Jalen was having his. I don't think another QB could be so overlooked for bringing Bama back in the waning moments of that game and he's been just that clutch through an incredible stretch of Bama history.

Has Jalen Hurts ever quarterbacked a game at Alabama that his team wasn't ranked number 1 in a major poll? Seriously, name me another QB for 2 complete seasons that have had to perform with that type of bullseye on their chest? We are in rariefied air, even for Bama, and so much criticism for a guy directing so much success.

He will on Jan.1st 2018!

First....NS isn't going to create a QB controversy.....period....
JH is #1 ......as long as he is healthy....he is the #1.....and 100% of critical playing time...
His record speaks for itself..period...
Anybody thatthinks differently is not on this planet !!!!!
Go to the ASU and La Laffett games next year if you want to see Tua...
Our greatest chaces for moving on..is...JH...his legs, experience, leadership, calm and ability....
Get ready Clemson...JH is back at you...

At a point in the game, I thought CNS might look at giving Tua a series to see if it might spark the offense and maybe give Jalen a chance to slow things down for a second. Only reason I thought he might was IF he thought Tua was ready for that atmosphere and that moment. It didn't happen SO, I take it that CNS didn't think he was ready. Tua's time will come when CNS thinks he is ready!!!

"If Tua performed like a true freshman..." You mean like Jalen did in Texas? Had we just stuck with Blake Barnett after a few bad series that technically weren't his fault, then what does Jalen ever accomplish? :what:

You're pretending like there is something to lose offensively and there isn't. I like Hurts more than 75% of the posters on the board but when the offense sucks you need to try a few new things. When your QB doesn't step up in the pocket to make throws (as he was earlier in the season) you have to wonder if his confidence is shook.

There's nothing to lose here. Jalen "looking over his shoulder" maybe a good thing since he showed about 0 vocal leadership or outward fire in the Auburn game.

Nothing more than using a talented option on the bench to add production. We don't HAVE to use 3 RB's... But we do for the same reasons we should use Tua. Different skills, different looks, special talent can move the ball.

I think 2 QBs may work but Saban has not shown an affinity to that method yet. He seems to believe in rhythm and confidence being the most important factors for QB success which is ironic because Jalen has really struggled with both.

I think the QB draw is overused with Jalen which I think causes him to bail out too quickly when then pocket is collapsing and he never gets into a rhythm. I think the throw away balls are telling of his rhythm and confidence. I don't remember ever seeing a QB throw away so many balls. There should always be a check down or a come back receiver available. I just don't think he has the confidence needed to throw into tight windows consistently and it's becoming more glaring we need to score.

Speaking of rhythm, I think that running backs get into a rhythm to as well and there seems to be a judicious plan to get several backs their carries. Damien Harris should get the lion's share because he usually has the most explosive play potential. He only ran the ball 6 times vs. Auburn and seemed to have a great burst with each carry. I think he has to get a lot of carries for us to win.
