This is the program that I work on. Some may have heard of it... N-UCAS X-47B. It's a new military drone in development. Well here's a video of history being made the other day. I was there for it

Sweet, my cousin use to live on Edwards a few years ago, her husband is a test pilot and they moved to New Mexico about a year ago I think.

Logistic Test and Evaluation.....Yeah the program was at Edwards and has moved to Pax River in Maryland.

Interesting, didn't know the AF had a base there. I know the Navy does...I was a west coaster, so the only know about most of the Navy Air Stations on the East Coast.

First unmanned combat aerial system (UCAS) to be launched from a land based catapult.

So is the future to launch them from a sea based catapult?

Catapult launch. It'll be the first carrier based drone, I believe. Didn't they just load one on a carrier last week? I noticed it landed on a regular strip. Has it simulated a carrier landing?

There are 2.....One is aboard the carrier now....yes it was loaded last week. The next step is to launch from the carrier.
