The only time you run onto the field is when you win a state championship and a NCAA Championship...pretty simple.

I recall being at Legion Field in ‘90 when we broke the streak like 3-4 straight that the Barn had over us. The entire 4th quarter, Simpson Pepper announced over the PA to “Not entire the field of play at the conclusion of the game!” Well, I was in the stands with my Dad, I wasn’t on the traveling roster, and I told him that someone would try it. Several did and Birmingham Police Department looked like the ‘85 Bears defense!!! Bodyslammed students all over the place!!

If you're not a player, coach, or staff member, the only time you run onto the field is never. Your ticket buys you a vantage point, nothing else.

In Ohio, during the state championship game, if you win, the fans are allowed to run onto the field. Not a fan myself but I have to say, so far, it has been done in good taste.
