The University of Alabama has reeled in eight commitments (seven in 2019, one in 2020 class) in the last month. The Crimson Tide added a big one on Sunday evening from

Amari Kight

, four-star offensive tackle from Thompson High School in Alabaster, Alabama.
Alabama currently has the No. 2 recruiting class in the country. Several elite targets will wait a while before making their decision. There are a few who might decide at any moment.

Kevin Harris visited Alabama twice this spring.

Kevin Harris

, four-star defensive end from Grayson High School in Loganville, Georgia, will announce his decision at 5:00 p.m. (CST) on Tuesday. Harris visited Alabama twice during the spring including a stop last Monday after taking an official visit to Miami.
Harris was scheduled to take an official visit to LSU, but canceled the trip. He will decide between Alabama and Miami on Tuesday. He is an elite pass rusher who resembles former Alabama star, Tim Williams. Momentum continues to sway back-and-forth for Harris. It's a close race heading into the final 24 hours before his announcement.

Alabama can add another in-state star
Rivals.com

DJ Dale

, three-star defensive tackle from Clay-Chalkville High School in Alabama, appears next in line (as far as in-state players) to commit to Alabama. He has taken a few trips to Tuscaloosa including the most recent stop for A-Day.
Dale will enter the fall as a three-year starter for the Cougars. He released a top five earlier this month of Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida State and Tennessee. He is considered one of Alabama's top interior defensive line targets. Dale said after the Tide's spring game he will likely announce a decision within a few weeks.

Jaylen McCollough

, four-star safety from Hillgrove High School in Powder Springs, Georgia, has been to Tuscaloosa several times the last few years. Alabama has been considered the heavy favorite since early in his recruitment. McCollough returned to Alabama for the Tide's A-Day game.
The defensive back numbers are intriguing this cycle. Alabama recently lost a commitment in

Brendan Gant

who actually never spoke with Nick Saban regarding his decision. Another commitment,
Brandon Turnage

, hasn't visited Alabama since his decision.
McCollough is on the Tide's wish list. He is also recruited by Alabama offensive line coach Brent Key who is having a banner year in recruiting. McCollough recently said he may wait until closer to the season to make a decision, but it will not come as a major surprise if he decides sooner rather than later. South Carolina and Tennessee are also high on his list.

Nick Saban spoke with Jaren Handy on Thursday
Chad Simmons

Jaren Handy

, four-star defensive end from Perry Central High School in New Augusta, Mississippi, is high on the Crimson Tide's board. He is one of the top defensive linemen in the Southeast. Handy visited Alabama earlier this month. His role model is also Alabama defensive tackle Raekwon Davis.
This is a little bit of a wild card selection as one Alabama's next commitments. Handy spoke with Alabama head coach Nick Saban last Thursday. Coach Saban was in Dallas for the first round of the NFL draft.

"He said he called all his top recruits while he was at the draft and that I had a really good chance to come in and play early," Handy said. "He wanted me to come back up in June. I loved that man, it showed me a lot. I really liked it. I’ll definitely be back."

Will Reichard

, three-star kicker from Hoover High School in Alabama, might announce very soon. He is the top kicker in the country, and he isn't one dimensional. He is an excellent placekicker and punter. His top three consists of Alabama, Georgia and LSU.
Reichard recently attended the Alabama A-Day game. Alabama has heavily recruited him since extending an offer earlier this spring. Alabama has young talent at kicker (Joseph Bulovas) and punter (Skyler DeLong).

Reichard is too good for Alabama to pass on and it doesn't appear likely it will. Reichard might make a decision within the next month or decide to wait until he attends a few special teams camps in June.

These are not the only players who can or will possibly commit to the University of Alabama in the next month. A good list of who might decide to end their recruitment. Alabama will see plenty of top recruits this month. Several more are expected to attend the Tide's camps in June.

It's also interesting to watch and see if other players decide to jump on board before a spot is no longer available. A commitment from Kevin Harris on Tuesday can certainly change things from a linebacker standpoint moving forward.

Jayson Jones

, 2020 defensive tackle from Calera High School in Alabama, is scheduled to announce his decision on July 4. Alabama should have plenty of additional commitments prior to his commitment.
