No one has heard what happened to him. Everyone remembers the wr from Springville that signed with the Barn. What you may not know and hasn't been put out there is that he didn't make it to campus for a specific reason. Everyone's favorite towel waving cheerleader/ coach told the kid to quit school in February and that they would take care of him.He was told to go get his GED and they would take care of him. He is now in a MS junior college and not enjoying his college life like he thought he would. This comes from his HS principal and not from a brothers' cousin co worker. The principal is pissed because the barn told the kid to quit and he had to put it on his school records as a dropout. The kid was doing well in his course work in HS but now is struggling because he was duped into this. I would say that is really looking out for the kid , wouldn't you? I wonder why we haven't heard this but Alfy Hill is national news? Nevermind that thought. The barn is irrelavant and always will be.

If this is true and the barn is giving this kind of advice to recruits then you have got to think that this will catch up with them.

It is true. It came from the principal there at Springville High School, Dr. Harris. Marking the kid down as a dropout hurts the schools AYP scores. What I don't understand is why would they tell the kid to drop out in February?

Yes, it is very strange that any college coach would give a kid that type of advice. Why doesn't the media know about this?

My husband is also swearing he saw on the ESPN ticker Friday night that two Auburn players did not qualify academically. I have yet to find anything and he swears he saw it. I think he is full of bologna.

If AU is giving students and recruits this type of advice, it not only bears badly on their name as an institution, but makes this whole state look bad, and that includes us. We have to be thinking national now, in terms of how we are perceived. If Trooper Taylor had anything to do with this, he needs to be shown the door.

Still, I'll hold out my flaming and gnashing of teeth until the state media catches up to it. This is the very first i've heard of any such thing, and just doesn't sound exactly correct, thought it might have some elements of truth.

Im pretty sure I saw it also but only caught the last part of it. Did not see specifics on names or what sport.

True. But its not like anyone cares about any other sport right now other than college football.

The kid is in a JUCO in MS. He dropped out of HS right after signing day and received his GED. No link to it but it came directly from the HS principal there at Springville.
