šŸ’¬ New York Times' Top 100 Movies of This Century

I saw that earlier this morning and have meant to count. I'm guessing a bit here...seen bits and pieces of two dozen but less than 10 of those I've watched from start to finish. Several I've seen the entire movie...bit here, bit there, and eventually the whole thing.

It probably took three or four "watchings" for me to finish O11.

I've seen twenty-five of them. The only two on the list I want to see -- but am certainly in no rush to see -- are both Whiplash and Lost in Translation. I love Wes Anderson movies. They're like the Coen Brothers' comedy movies but maybe quirkier. If you've never seen Grand Budapest Hotel, try getting around to that. It's hilarious!

And fwiw, Lord of the Rings is rated WAAAAAAAY too low!

I’ve seen most of these movies. At least half I thought were garbage. Movies, like music are very subjective. The movies with ā€œmeaningā€ meant to ā€œmoveā€ people are usually awful.

Personal opinion here. how can black panther be the only marvel (infinity series) movie on the list? Also all three of the dark knight movies should’ve been on the list.
Some of the predator movies, alien movies.

I ain't clicking through all 10 pages, but I've only watched 1 in the top 10, No Country for Old Men, and thought it was ridiculously overrated. Zero desire to see it again.
Of my eleven, two were cartoons with kids/grandkids. One, Little Miss Sunshine, I was coerced to see since it won an AA - what a piece of crap. I would watch the awesome Hell or High Water (not on the list) ten times over watching No Country once more. I watched Anchor Man because my teen sons were crazy about it, it was funny. Inside Llewyn Davis was entertaining. Oh Brother, Where Art Thou - My kids watched it dozens and dozens of times with my parents. It's one of those movies where I can effectively communicate with someone using only quotes from the movie. Once upon a time in H'wood, very enjoyable for me. I've seen Gladiator a number of times, a great movie.

I've realized most of the movies I really like were from the last century.
