🏈 New Theme Song Ala-Freakin-Bama

Seriously? Probably one of the worst songs I have heard on the radio in a while, and it's a shame he had to associate Alabama with such a terrible song. Honestly, Ala-freaking-bama? Who the hell has ever said that before this song? Maybe this song is cool to listen to after a bama win drunk as a skunk, but that is about it. No offense to anyone that enjoys this song, but WTF????

I'll not try to defend a meaningless country song. Your disdain for it is obvious, but your criticism that it uses an unfamiliar phrasing doesn't make sense. There are many songs that includes word alterations, stuttering or just plain gibberish in their lyrics - a belief that songs must quote oft-used or common phrases suggests little grasp of modern music. It'll come and go, and some will like it and some won't just like any other ditty.

Your mistake was in not staying domestic. PBR and Jim Beam would have done the trick.
OMG! Do still make PBR? Honestly, do they? If they do, I refuse to drink it since I am pretty sure Auburn fans consider PBR a premium beer. Hell, they can drink the beer and use the can to fix their trailer.

They absolutely still make it. It's actually pretty good. I know a guy whose wife teaches with mine who drinks Heineken or PBR, nothing else. The Midtown bar next to my office carries the 16 ounce cans of it.

A couple of years ago, we had a Seventies party at our house for our neighborhood and I offered a sophisticated mix of PBR, Miller Ponies and Lowenbrau (had to search for that).

Miller Ponies... Now that brings back some memories. Good times there.
