šŸˆ New Alabama Facility?

Per the twitter Cowboys writer Clarence Hill Jr. "The Alabama AD and staff toured the Cowboys facility Wednesday. Heading to Green Bay next. New Alabama facility, HOF on docket, per sources."

Does the anyone have any insight to what this may be?

Sounds like something like a ring of honor or something similar. Not where they retire numbers but put up a display for the greats that have played at Bama, inside BDS. I know the Bryant Museum has displays but this would be something for fans to see inside the stadium. Just a guess but the Cowboys and the Packers have two of the more famous displays for former players.

Repurpose the Bryant Museum and move it, along with any new additions to a new building on University, just before you get to the Walk, right past Wallace Wade. There is an old Frat house there but there is also a pretty decent size vacant area to place a new facility. It will be close to the stadium, rather than across from Coleman.

They could just repurpose the Bryant Museum into the archives. They already store that stuff there but the room is so tiny. Just use the building for that, for media, fans, etc. to be able to do research. Like you said, move the Museum to a bigger building maybe across from the stadium. Hell, have a bigger room for screening documentaries, special videos, etc. in it.

That has been torn down. I assumed the University would have done something with it by now, but I only see tents there for pre-game activities for the media and such.

I hope they don't do a ring of honor. While there have been plenty of stars, Alabama has always emphasized the team, not the individual. No jerseys are retired, no individual raised above his team.

I doubt they will ever retire any numbers. They may have an exhibit for the CFBHOF and NFLHOF players though. Like has been said, the Bryant Museum is too small now, to show all the stuff that both individual and teams have won.

Our AD wants a new Saban/Bryant Museum combined with an Alabama football HOF.

Ingram and Henry to get Statues for winning the Heisman.

That's what my son has been told by a friend inside the athletic department.

Yet there are statues of individuals outside BDS... :-)

Those are coaches, not players. We've had too many All-American, All-SEC, All-Pro players to recognize them all equally. We've got ribbon boards for ads, billboards next to the video screens and multiple entrances, flags for national championships. At some point it all mixes together and looks like junk.
