🏈 Need some help...and suggestions...

Ok...I wasn't quite sure where to put this, so I figured here would be best...if not, then if a mod moves it, that's fine.

I need some help. I work with a high school band in south Ga. The seniors always give the directors a gift at the end of the year. This year, the seniors want to give the head director something Bama related. Their thought is an autographed photo of CNS.

Is this even possible? Since we're in Ga, I know no one. If it's possible, who could I contact?

If it's not possible, what suggestions do you guys have? PM me if you'd like. Need suggestions soon...gift will be given in three weeks.
Thanks in advance for your help. :a:, Roll Tide!

Well, considering tomorrow is A-Day, some of our Tide Pride members may be able to grab an autograph for you. I would suggest E-Bay, but you're taking a chance.

Hope you guys figure something out, seems like that would be a dang good gift.

This is not my lane here, but you asked. Might I suggest that if this forum is discussing the feasibility of your wish that you have taken it in the wrong direction.

I would not focus so much on who's signiture is on the gift and more on the thoughts behind the gift. That is to say, let the kids get for you what they want you to have...and it is in this that you will find it a treasure.

If they give you a Mark Richt signed picture, will you not be able to cherish it?

BTW, thank you for all that you do for these kids. The fact that they care enough about you to give you a gift speaks volumes about you.

I see your point. These are a great group of kids that work together quite well and they think the world of their directors. I'm just an assistant director at the school, and love working with them. That said...

The gift isn't for me...it's for the head director...this is what they thought of. I had two seniors ask me for help and then told me about...I've been sworn to secrecy! (although, I must say, it would be a cool gift.)

And to answer your question-no, I wouldn't cherish a MR signed picture!!!

Hope that wasn't too confusing.

If you write the Ath. Dept. they'll send you one of his autographed pics...tell them the story and you might get some other stuff as well.

The link I posted was from the Athl Dept. I used to talk to Brenda Swindell there about getting the signed photos and the last time I spoke with her via email she said that quite honestly they were getting overwhelmed with the demand and were going to change procedure, thus the link I was given for future requests.

Having said that, yeah, writing them might still work better. They would likely feel more compelled to accomidate a special case.

Sorry. I missed a few details there.

I would concur that there is a way for all to win. Empowering the youth with the information they need to reach out and solve a problem is big, especially when their hearts are in the right place.

I would cause you about the contacting of the AD with the request. Although they are generally good about sending the autographed photos, sometimes it takes a while. In the case of Coach Stallings, I recall it taking a couple of months.

Thanks again for helping the kids, assistant or otherwise.
