šŸ“” Nebraska & Coach Scott Frost under NCAA investigation

Who cares.

...for more than a few reasons.

In my opinion the biggest story here is how overblown he was while coaching in Florida and being hired at Nebraska confirmed such.

They were taping their illegal, off campus workouts.

Think about that.

It's just bad decision after bad decision for Frost and Nebraska.

Remember, Frost tried to get out of playing Oklahoma this year because he didn't want to take a blowout loss (in YEAR 4!).

13-0 in 2017 and you think he's "overblown" as a head coach?

He's hitting on one portion of my opinion on Frost. While Frost said "it was a budget concern" which did mirror what the Nebraska AD had mentioned about their program he tried to cancel that game without the knowledge or approval of the AD.

Here's where I say he's overblown. When he was down at UCF he was sitting in the middle of a recruiting hotbed able to take those three star type Florida athletes and then take those athletes to compete against your AAC level opponents. You can win, as we saw, with that caliber of talent in that type of conference. (Watch the same thing happen with Gus.)

However, taking him out of that level of competition and putting him in the Nebraska situation shows he can't take that level of athlete and win in a conference like the B1G, or Big 12 for that matter. Small fish in a big pond, so to speak.

Here's something that can't be ignored: holding illegal practices and workouts and you're posting a 3-5 record—it's no wonder Alberts wants him out (which is widely rumored.)

I haft to agree with Terry. Rules are rules and even though most are silly and over bearing until they are changed everyone must adhere.

Kinda like Reggie Bush wanting his Heisman Trophy back even though he and his family blatantly broke the rules.

Maybe im just old and look through a different lens.
???
Is haft a word?

The Nebraska folks looking to get rid of him without paying him a dime might care … especially if these offenses reach the level to nullify his buyout clause.

Guess I should have detailed my sentiments a little better. I meant more from an NCAA and punishment standpoint. The NCAA is nothing more than a pillow fight for how their enforcement and punishment work.

I know and readily agree they are taking far longer than anyone likes with the cases they have now. However, you might want to ask the Murphy fellow from Creighton who just received a two years show cause if he was hit with a pillow.

One thing I believe is sorely missed here is we've seen two cases were schools have ignored the Covid protocols set by the NCAA. That has pissed some people off; I'm sure of that.

With the new NIL deal I don't see why New-Braska doesn't restart that County booster club that paid for the education for walk-ons like they did in the 80's under Osborne. They were able to get really good players as walk-ons and give the schollys to the elite.....then the NCAA finally closed that down.

I've heard that rumor but never seen anything to substantiate that happening.
