I got a kick out of this comment at the end of the article.

No matter how many people or programs break em rules are rules and the NCAA will pursue violators..
The thing that is probably troublesome to the NCAA is less the fact that the allowable contact hours were exceeded, but more the fact that documents were signed by athletes stating otherwise..
Lying to the NCAA is not tolerated.
So, if "lying to the NCAA is not tolerated" then how do you explain USC and Pete Carroll?

Never. And there never will be. The NCAA is scared to death of Pete Carroll. How in the world him and the USC program can just walk away from what they did is just simply appalling.
It is my understanding that Johanningmeier and company are doing some investigating regarding Bush and O J Mayo. I'm not ready to give up on them really doing something here. Failure to monitor seems to fit the situation.

I was just curious with the whole Bush thing because if they had gotten a LOI, and it still went away quitely like it seems to have, then I would have bet that this one against Mich would go away quietly, too. But, since USC never got one, the to Mich may actually result in something.

In related news, the NCAA also said that when it comes to the University of Alabama, cooperation and the truth will not be tolerated! Where's the death penalty gun?

I sure hope that it will lead to something. USC needs to be held accountable. The NCAA sure held Bama accountable.
