After almost four years of investigation, the NCAA’s probe into the University of Southern California athletic program has reached a conclusion. Sources familiar with the investigation have told Yahoo! Sports that the NCAA’s Committee on Infractions will meet Feb. 19-21 to address what investigators uncovered at USC. According to typical NCAA procedures, if sanctions are necessary, they will be determined and then made public via a news conference within six to eight weeks of the February hearing.

My gut feeling is that the NCAA will lower the boom on them somewhat. Otherwise Pete Carroll would not be heading to Seattle. I read in another article where USC has self imposed some penalties dealing with Basketball, but I'm not sure what else will come. Either way I don't expect USC to be relevant for at least 6-8 years from now.

USC had a sorry "Captain" huh? That sorry dog runs his ship right into the NCAA "iceberg" and waits until the final moment to call for help, help for him and maybe his OC and that's it.

I guess the love affair with the Trojans will be over for at least a couple of years if the NCAA hammer comes down hard.

Well, don't expect anything like what we got. As far as I know, they don't have repeat offender status attached to their name. I doubt they get the same pretentious lecture about "how close we came" to the death penalty.

BS. USC gets off light in football, this time. Let's see how this McKnight thing is handled, if at all.
